Spring thunderstorms, straight-line winds and winter ice regularly hit the Miami Valley, and they bring down limbs and whole trees. Storm-damaged trees are some of the most dangerous work there is. Wood under tension can release without warning, and a tree resting on a roof is often holding itself up on the structure.
We prioritize storm calls that threaten homes, block driveways, or leave hanging limbs over places people walk. First we make the situation safe, then we finish removal and cleanup on a schedule that works for you and your insurer.
We also work directly with your insurance provider on tree-damage claims: documenting the damage, explaining the scope of work, and helping you pursue a fair, honest outcome.
- A tree or large limb has fallen on your house, garage, car or fence
- A broken limb is hanging in the canopy (a “hanger”) over a door, drive or yard
- A tree is newly leaning after a storm, or the root plate has lifted
- Your driveway or only access is blocked
- A split trunk or torn branch is still attached to the tree
- A neighbor’s tree has come over onto your property

The rest of the tree, the stump and the debris are cleared, and ruts or damaged lawn can be graded and seeded.
Straight answers on cost.
Every property is different, so we price after we’ve seen the job. Estimates are free, and you’ll know the full scope and price before anything starts. These are the things that move the number:
- Whether the tree is on a structure and has to be lifted or lowered off it
- Size of the tree and how much of it has failed
- Access and ground conditions after the storm
- How much cleanup and lawn restoration is needed
- For covered damage, your insurer may pay part or all of the cost. We’ll help you understand that before work starts
Common questions
Will homeowners insurance pay for tree removal after a storm?
Often, if the tree damaged a covered structure like your house, garage or fence. A tree that fell in the yard without hitting anything is frequently not covered. Every policy is different, so we’ll document everything and work with your provider to sort it out.
A neighbor’s tree fell on my house. Who pays?
In many cases, your own homeowners policy covers damage to your house regardless of whose tree it was. Things can change if the tree was obviously dead and the neighbor had been told. Your insurer will make that call. We can provide documentation either way.
Can you come out the same day?
We prioritize emergencies that threaten your home or safety, and after big storms we triage calls by danger. Call or text with photos and we’ll tell you honestly when we can be there.
Should I try to remove the limb myself?
Small limbs on the ground, sure. Anything hanging, under tension, on a structure or near wires is where people get hurt. Leave those to a crew with the right rigging.
