Troy’s historic core around the Public Square and the courthouse has some of the county’s oldest and largest yard trees. Many of them are packed onto narrow lots with alleys, garages and overhead lines, so a lot of the tree work here is about precision: pruning for clearance, and taking trees down in pieces when there’s no room to drop them.
Head out toward the newer neighborhoods and the work changes. Young trees need structural pruning so they don’t grow into problems, new lawns need help establishing on heavy builder-grade soil, and drainage often needs fixing where lots were graded quickly.
Along the Great Miami River, around Treasure Island Park and the levee, big cottonwoods, sycamores and silver maples take the brunt of summer storms. When they drop limbs, we can help.
Local trees, local problems.
Big trees, tight lots
Older neighborhoods often mean limited access and something valuable under every limb. Careful rigging and hand-carrying wood out is common.
Newer subdivision lawns
Compacted, clay-heavy fill in newer neighborhoods leads to thin turf and standing water. Grading, seeding and drainage fixes make the biggest difference.
Young trees that need shaping
Trees planted with new homes are reaching the size where a little structural pruning now prevents splits later.
Storm cleanup
Straight-line winds and thunderstorms regularly drop limbs across town. We prioritize calls where a home or drive is affected.

Yes, all of Troy and the surrounding townships. It’s a short drive from our base in Piqua.
Can you help with an insurance claim after a storm in Troy?
Yes. We document the damage and work directly with your insurance provider to help the claim go smoothly.
My new-construction yard won’t grow grass. Can you help?
Very often. Builder-grade soil is usually compacted and poorly graded. We fix the grade, improve the seedbed, address drainage and reseed.
